Rockstar Games had previously confirmed that physical editions of GTA 6 would not include discs with the game, offering only a digital code instead, which disappointed many players. However, there was later a report from an insider and even a reply from the studio's support team suggesting that disc-based editions would be released in the months following the launch, giving some fans hope. That said, doubts have resurfaced. According to The Hollywood Reporter, GTA 6 will indeed not be available on discs, and the earlier claim about a support response from Rockstar Games is false and may have even been generated by AI.

Developers have not made any statements on this matter yet, so for now, it’s safe to assume that GTA 6 will be available only in digital format. Meanwhile, according to IGN, the game is being pre-ordered on PlayStation 5 more frequently than on Xbox Series X/S, with a ratio of about 6 to 1.

Although Rockstar Games does not seem likely to release a new GTA 6 trailer anytime soon, fresh details about the game have surfaced thanks to its listing on Brazilian retailer websites. Reports indicate that the open world in GTA 6 will be the largest ever seen in a Rockstar Games title. The characters Jason and Lucia will each have unique abilities, and players will be able to switch between them at any point during the game. Additionally, the social media system will play a significant role in gameplay, allowing the main characters to stay informed about events happening both within Vice City and beyond.
