Forhåndsbestillingskopier av GTA 6 nærmer seg nå 7 millioner

In less than a month, all PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners will be able to experience the most anticipated game of recent years, GTA 6, for themselves. Anticipation is growing by the day, which, as a recent report shows, is also having an impact on pre-orders for the upcoming Rockstar Games title.

According to data from Sensor Tower, GTA 6 pre-orders are steadily approaching the 7 million mark (6.92 million). This has been noted on social media, with reports that nearly 500,000 more players pre-ordered the game over the past week. As a reminder, just a week ago, it was reported that GTA 6 was breaking pre-order records, demonstrating the highest number in recent years—a record that continues to grow.

Sensor Tower has released its latest weekly GTA 6 Sales Tracker update, estimating that GTA VI picked up an additional 470,000 pre-orders in the past week taking the total to 6.92 million with around 3 weeks to go.

The estimated platform split remains PlayStation 74%, XBOX 26%.

In the comments, people also pointed out the previous pre-order record (8 million copies) belongs to Cyberpunk 2077, and players have no doubt GTA 6 will break it in the next couple of weeks leading up to its release.

Rockstar Games, for its part, has already begun actively sending copies of GTA 6 to gaming media outlets and various streamers, as confirmed by insider NateTheHate. One of them turned out to be YouTuber Shirrako, who is known for leaking the ending of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, on the very first day the game became available. Because of that incident, there are concerns he might do the same with GTA 6, since he now has access to the game and will know its story.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
