On June 14, 2026, Behaviour Interactive released Dead by Daylight—an asymmetric survival-horror game where several characters must escape the clutches of a deranged killer. Few developers could have predicted the game's immense success. This week, as it celebrated its 10th anniversary, the studio shared its future plans and announced gifts for its players.

To celebrate this milestone, the developers hosted a special livestream dedicated to the game's anniversary, where they shared what fans can expect from Dead by Daylight in the coming year. Alongside confirming that Jason from Friday the 13th will be the new licensed character arriving on June 16, the studio also announced that Art the Clown from the movie Terrifier will be joining the game, as well as Frank Stone—a character from Dead by Daylight’s lore and its spin-off, The Casting of Frank Stone, developed by Supermassive Games.

As for other new features, the chapter Chorus of Sin, developed by the creators in collaboration with the game community, will be released in August this year. Later this month (on June 26), the chapter The Life Road will launch, focusing on Shane Wiigwaas, the first Native American survivor in Dead by Daylight. Additionally, Behaviour Interactive will introduce a new map—a shopping mall—along with new cosmetic crossovers, including Scooby-Doo, and a 1v1 mode. Next year, character models will receive a visual overhaul, and mod support will be added.

We also know that the horror game will receive a movie adaptation by Blumhouse-Atomic Master, with David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick (The Conjuring, Insidious) and Alexandra Aja (Mirrors, Maniac) set to serve as screenwriters. During the stream, it was also announced that Thordur Palsson, known for his work on projects like The Valhalla Murders and The Damned, will be directing the film.
