This week has arguably been the most important for GTA 6 and its fans since the game's announcement, as it has finally become available for pre-order on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, both in standard and Ultimate editions. Although the developers have yet to release a new trailer, various other news about the most anticipated project of 2026 continues to emerge.

One of the news updates came from a reputable Spanish insider known as Nash Weedle, who previously reported that Rockstar Games is actively developing a version of GTA 6 for the Nintendo Switch 2. In a new post on X, he clarified that work on the game port is progressing steadily: the studio has already fixed some technical issues and hired appropriate specialists. However, a release on this platform should not be expected this year.

At present, Rockstar Games has not announced that GTA 6 will be released on the Switch 2, with the game currently planned only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, fans are confident that a PC version of GTA 6 will also be launched, as was the case with previous installments, and it is likely to happen around 2027.
