Several major projects from big studios are set to release over a few days in September. Alongside the new Silent Hill installment titled Townfall and Capcom's potential hit, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Remedy Entertainment will launch its biggest game to date—Control Resonant, the sequel to the original 2019 title.

With just over three months remaining until the game's release, the developers have already started discussing it. As a result, numerous videos have appeared earlier this month, particularly during the State of Play and Summer Game Fest presentations. In addition to revealing the system requirements for the PC version, Remedy's communications director, Thomas Puha, confirmed in a new interview with IGN that Control Resonant will feature the most extensive marketing campaign in the company's history—an especially important move given the crowded release schedule in September this year. “We locked in our release date based on what’s best for the game. The most important thing, I’m sure you agree, is that we ship Control Resonant at the best possible quality because that is the right thing to do, rather than shipping something that isn't fully polished. If your game isn't great at launch, the gaming audience won’t like it, and it's hard to recover from that.”

In addition to being Remedy's most important project, Control Resonant will also shift genres from the original, becoming an action RPG. The game won't feature an open world, but the locations available for exploration will be significantly larger and even more detailed.

Besides that, the studio is also developing Max Payne 1 & 2 remakes, which are now in full production, as well as a new IP, which is currently at the concept stage.
