Grand Theft Auto VI blir et spill for alle

There is so much we still don’t know about Grand Theft Auto VI, the latest installment from Rockstar Games. The developers are not in a hurry to reveal more official information about the most anticipated video game of 2026, although there are rumors a new trailer of GTA 6 may be revealed next month. And the fans are hopeful it will happen.

While it hasn't happened yet, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two Interactive, parent company of Rockstar Games, has recently spoken with The Game Business, and Grand Theft Auto VI was one of the main topics. He revealed that despite the huge progress of AI tools, programs like Project Genie will not be able to recreate titles similar to GTA 6 in terms of details and scale. Zelnick also has shared the idea that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI will be the game for all generations of players, as you can check out below:

"We stay engaged with the kind of entertainment we fell in love with at 17. Think about it, if I say to you, 'What kind of music do you like?' Like everyone else, you'll say, 'Oh, I listen to everything.' That just isn't true, incidentally. But if I say, 'Okay, you're by yourself, you have an hour, and all you're going to do in this hour is listen to music,' and that I want you to have the best possible time and the most relaxing time, you will listen to the music you listened to at the age of 17.

If you fell in love with videogames at 17 and you're 40, guess what you still do? Play videogames. That is why the cohort is continuing to grow as we age. I know Matthew Ball doesn't believe that, but our experience here at Take-Two is that we are benefitting from industry tailwinds.

I think we're gonna have a lot of 17-year-olds playing GTA 6. I don't think there's any risk of being like, 'Oh, I didn't play 5, or 4, or 3, or 2, or 1, I'm not showing up.' To the contrary, I think we'll be able to engage every appropriate individual in GTA 6."

The marketing of Grand Theft Auto VI is officially starting this summer, as was revealed by Strauss Zelnick himself back in February during the latest quarterly earnings call of Take-Two—just like the game will not use any of the AI tools that made the fans and the gamers satisfied.

Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
