MOUSE: P.I. for Hire får en oppfølger i 2028, bekrefter PlaySide

This spring, the developers at Fumi Games released their debut project – MOUSE: P.I. For Hire – a stylish shooter set in the 1930s. The project proved to be quite successful, both financially and in terms of its warm reception from critics and players, and it seems that a sequel is on the cards in the near future.

PlaySide, the publisher of MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has released its latest financial report, which contains several important announcements regarding the game. In addition to the fact that the game has so far sold 1.1 million copies across all platforms, a sequel is already in development, with a release scheduled for 2028. The company also reported that revenue from MOUSE: P.I. For Hire was over $30 million, and that the game has become its most successful original IP. “MOUSE simultaneously launched on six platforms on 16 April 2026 (US time), and has been the most commercially successful Original IP title published by PlaySide, with excellent critic and consumer reviews.

Downloadable content (DLC) for the game is currently in development, with additional content and a sequel being planned.”

Even before this, it was thought that MOUSE: P.I. For Hire had been a huge success for Fuse Games and PlayTime, but the publisher’s latest financial report seems to have dispelled any doubts on the matter.
