On April 16, Fumi Games released their debut title - Mouse P.I. For Hire - an atmospheric noir shooter styled after 1930s cartoons. You play as a mouse and, on the side, a private detective named Jack Pepper, who investigates cases in the corrupt city of Mouseburg.

The game received praised reviews from both players and critics - it stood out particularly for its spectacular visuals, great soundtrack, and pleasant gameplay, but the underdeveloped storyline and repetitive enemies were also glaringly obvious. Mouse P.I. For Hire also includes various secrets and collectibles that are not so easy to find out because of the black-and-white image. However, in this guide you will find out how and where to find all collectibles in the game.

Mouse P.I. For Hire: All Collectibles and Their Locations

Apart from secrets that you can find in the game, including safes, rooms with loot, hidden areas, and secret rooms, there are also collectible items in Mouse P.I. For Hire in the form of cheese, film reels, documents and notes, and Hidden Curios - unique items for those who love to be engaged in researching and expanding the collections. There are 10 of them in total, and they are scattered across various locations in the game.

Secret Collective №1 - P.I. Office

The first collective you can find in the P.I Office. Go to John’s Bar, to the kitchen, and find the lock you can pick to reach the basement. At the back of the room, when you enter the basement, you will find the first collectible figure.

Secret Collective №2 - Cheeseball Sub

This collectible is really hard to notice, as it may be found during a long level from the game Cheeseball Sub. The collectible we need to find is located in the room with the typewriter. After you've activated the fans, you need to blow up the “Totally Normal Wall” using a barrel of dynamite. You'll see a hidden basement and a second figurine.

Secret Collective №3 - Saltwater Cambozo

The third collectible item is waiting for you right at the start of the level. Walk up to the pier to jump down and hang from the cliff. In addition to the figurine, you’ll also find a safe containing a blueprint.

Secret Collective №4 - White Lies and Dark Secrets

When you reach the courtyard area outside the mansion during the mission White Lies and Dark Secrets, you may see the locked church there. Your task is to find three bells and shoot each of them. The door will be open, and you will find the figurine in the back room, near a closet.

Secret Collective №5 - Damp Evidence

The fifth collectible item is located inside the mansion, and it’s important not to take the key in a room with the typewriter. Instead, find a bookcase with a ventilation shaft above it and crawl through the shaft, where, in addition to the figurine, you’ll also find ammunition and money.

Secret Collective №6 - It All Points To Here, Right?

To find the next, sixth collectible item in Mouse P.I. For Hire, you'll once again have to navigate through a series of intricate puzzles that can be quite confusing. After a conversation with an elephant, go back to the location where you arrived from and come up to the ledge - you will see a locked door and a vent. You will also see a janitor, and you need to take the key from him. Once you’ve taken the key, don’t go downstairs; instead, open the locked door, where you’ll find another figurine on the table in the dressing room.

Another collective item that is easy to miss but actually easy to find. After you terminate all the enemies in the bar, head over to the bar, where you'll find the coveted Jack figurine sitting between two stacks of coins.

Secret Collective №8 - The House of the Empty Mouse

Perhaps the most difficult figure to obtain is located on the level The House of the Empty Mouse. Firstly, you need to solve the puzzle with three statues arranged according to the principle “See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil,” from left to right, which is a reference to a Japanese proverb. Once you have done everything right, the secret room will be opened, leading to a small laboratory, where you will find another statue.

Secret Collective №9 - Glugging From The Deep

At the level with the docks, after you’ve activated the first switch, head down to the small ledge near the water. After finishing the conversation with the character named Veloper, join the group and collect the figurine and some money.

Secret Collective №10 - Fair Enough

The final collectible in Mouse P.I. For Hire is also located at the final level of the game, World’s Fair 1934. After defeating a few enemies near the statues of the two elephants and the giraffe, go through the gate where you’ll see a staircase. Climb the stairs, and you’ll see a bush—a secret passage. Go through it, and you’ll find ammunition as well as the last statue.
