Innsidere hevder at PlayStation 6 fortsatt er planlagt utgitt i høytiden i 2027
Recently, there have been reports suggesting that Sony might be considering pushing back the release of its next-generation console, the PlayStation 6, from late 2027 to 2028 or even 2029. Although the company has yet to make any official announcements about the new device, it seems these rumors about a delay are unfounded, as reliable insiders have spoken out to refute them.
The first to respond was a user known as Kepler_L2, who previously revealed the initial specifications of the PlayStation 6. While chatting with other gamers on the NeoGAF forum, he wrote, "Both Xbox and PS6 are still on track for Holiday 2027".
This partly aligns with information from another insider, Moore's Law Is Dead, who reported back in March that Sony has already reserved production capacity for next-generation chips. This suggests that delaying the PlayStation 6 launch could lead to additional costs and other complications. He recently also stated that Project Helix might be about 30% more powerful than the PS6, though this likely won't impact image quality. Additionally, both consoles will focus on 4K resolution using upscaling technologies and will compete more on frame rates rather than graphics quality.
Are you excited that PlayStation 6 still might be released in the holiday season of 2027, not in 2028 or 2029? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
