On their social media, the developers announced that 007 First Light has already sold 1.5 million copies across all platforms. This result is not surprising, considering that since its release on May 27, the game had been in first place in sales on Steam, but in the last day it was surpassed by Forza Horizon 6. Nevertheless, even this figure is quite successful for IO Interactive.

Earlier, there were some reports that the budget for 007 First Light was around $200 million, and it is estimated that the game needs to sell 3 million copies to break even. Incidentally, the studio had previously stated that the game could receive a continuation if players are interested in it.

007 First Light currently has a rating of 92% on Steam, and its peak online is almost 69 thousand players simultaneously. Gaming media also appreciated 007 First Light, praising IO Interactive for the beautifully recreated action scenes, engaging gameplay, and the atmosphere of the signature style of the best James Bond films. The game currently has a rating of 87 on Metacritic and 88 on OpenCritic.
