CD Projekt RED søker aktivt manusforfattere til Cyberpunk 2077-oppfølgeren
Currently, CD Projekt RED is working on several projects simultaneously, the most anticipated of which are undoubtedly The Witcher 4 and the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel. Regarding the latter, the developers clearly hope the sequel will be at least as ambitious as the 2020 original; a recent announcement from one of the game's directors concerning job openings further underscores this goal.
In particular, Cyberpunk 2 Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko posted on X that the studio is seeking talented narrative design specialists. The role will go beyond simple scriptwriting, offering the opportunity to independently create and implement new storylines.
Narrative crew of Cyberpunk 2 is looking for gifted storytellers to join our band of vagabonds. Future Sinnermans, Bloody Barons and Dream On enjoyers, share this calling with your chooms, let’s put some shit of fire together.
There isn't much information about Cyberpunk 2 yet, but it has been confirmed that, unlike Cyberpunk 2077, the game will include multiplayer. In addition, players can look forward to not only returning to Night City but also exploring a brand-new city inspired by Chicago. At this time, there is no known information regarding the plot.
Speaking of the aforementioned The Witcher 4, CD Projekt RED previously stated that they want to "redefine the RPG genre" with the upcoming title—a title that, like Cyberpunk 2, still lacks a release date. The developers also assured fans that neither project will repeat the mistakes made during the disastrous launch of Cyberpunk 2077.
The studio is also developing Project Sirius—the spin-off to The Witcher franchise, which will also bring multiplayer mode to the game series, as well as feature a story mode. There is also a new IP— Project Hadar, which is rumored to be an action-RPG title with melee-oriented combat, according to the company’s vacancies.
There are also rumors that Fool’s Theory—the same studio that is working on The Witcher remake—is developing a new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will set up events for the fourth title. Although CD Projekt RED hasn’t given any comments about this yet, they announced a stream dedicated to the anniversary of the game’s expansion, The Blood and Wine, which will take place on May 28. Fans remain hopeful that it will finally be time to announce a new DLC for 2015’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
As for Cyberpunk 2, the game is in development for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 and doesn’t have a release date yet.
