Resident Evil Code: Veronica lekket til PlayStation 5
There are plenty of rumors and speculation about the upcoming remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica—the next Resident Evil installment that is expected to be released by Capcom next year. Although the studio hasn’t revealed any details or official information about the title, the remake of Code Veronica has just leaked for PlayStation 5.
Specifically, gaming digital store PlayAsia has leaked the version of Resident Evil: Code Veronica on PlayStation 5, which is available to pre-order for €60 in Asia and Europe and soon will be available to pre-order in the US. It is also mentioned that the game is “not yet published or released” and “to be announced” is mentioned in the field when the game is expected to ship.

Insider Dusk Golem, a reliable Resident Evil scooper, previously revealed that Capcom will announce Resident Evil Code: Veronica Remake this year, and the release date is reportedly planned for 2027. The game is reportedly directed by Kazunori Kadoi & Yasuhiro Anpo—the duo responsible for directing the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4—and is expected to include a lot of new features and story expansion, similar to what previous Resident Evil remakes have received.
Besides Code Veronica remake, Capcom is also developing a story expansion to this year’s Resident Evil Requiem and also Resident Evil 10, which will feature a new protagonist, Talia, as well as Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Chris Redfield, while Alex Wesker will be the villain.
