The Wolf Among Us Remastered får positive anmeldelser fra spillkritikere

There’s just over a day to go until the release of The Wolf Among Us Remastered, an enhanced version of the original 2013 game from Telltale Games. Game critics have already shared their impressions, giving the game fairly high ratings.

Critics note that the improved graphics, lighting, and various other technical enhancements have only made The Wolf Among Us better. Furthermore, they have singled out Noir Mode—which turns the game into black and white—for praise, as well as the bonus content, which includes deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes videos, and interviews. According to gaming journalists, The Wolf Among Us Remastered is the best way to experience the classic, especially given that a sequel is coming out next year. Currently, the game has a score of 85 on Metacritic and 84 on OpenCritic, with a 100% recommendation rate from critics. Some of the brief reviews are available below:

Checkpoint Gaming - 90/100:

Despite a few small issues, the new team at Telltale has renewed my faith in the franchise. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is more than just a fresh coat of paint; it’s never been a better time to step into the Big Bad Wolf’s shoes, meet people and creatures from fairytale legend, and hunt for a mysterious killer in the grimy alleys and clubs of '80s New York.

GameSpew - 90/100:

It's been 13 years since The Wolf Among Us first released, and it's just as good as ever. Thanks to this Remastered release, it looks and plays better than it ever did, too, and a wealth of bonus content makes it a worthwhile purchase even if you've already played it to death.

PlayStation Universe - 85/100:

Whether this is your first time, your second time, or your twentieth time experiencing The Wolf Among Us, you'll gladly trade hours of your videogame time to this remaster. Bigby is back in this bold and bawdy replenishment, and you definitely won't regret devouring this renewed adventure series.

COGconnected - 80/100:

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a wonderful example of a remaster. Not only does it improve the visuals, but it also irons out performance issues from the original release. The detective tale is every bit as engaging as you’ll remember, expertly balancing gripping storytelling, memorable characters, and meaningful choices to deliver an unforgettable experience. With the addition of behind-the-scenes content, a noir filter and deleted scenes, this is the perfect celebration of a classic.

Console Creatures - 80/100:

The Wolf Among Us Remastered is a great return to one of Telltale‘s best titles. It might not include any new story content, but it feels complete. I’m eager to return to Fabletown with The Wolf Among Us 2, but in the meantime, the remaster is a brilliant entry point for a new generation. Aside from some lingering dated animations, the remaster of The Wolf Among Us is filled with excellent moments.
