Rockstar Games vurderte GTA 6 med ESRB – det dukket også opp i PS Store og Xbox Store

With October is already here, GTA 6 fans are counting down the final weeks of autumn even more eagerly, with the most anticipated game of 2026 now feeling genuinely close. Rockstar Games, for its part, is gradually gearing up for launch, and the latest update concerns the game's rating.

Social media user iGrandTheftAuto spotted Rockstar Games has added an ESRB rating reference to its official site, confirming GTA 6's violent content, which, honestly, comes as no surprise to anyone. The rating also showed up almost immediately on the game's PlayStation Store and Xbox Store pre-order pages.

GTA 6 has been officially rated on PlayStation Store and Rockstar’s website, which usually indicates that the game is pretty much done:

• Blood and Gore
• Intense Violence
• Mature Humor
• Nudity
• Strong Language
• Strong Sexual Content
• Use of Drugs and Alcohol

Interestingly, recent reports put GTA 6 at X 18+ Restricted in Australia, which is a step above GTA V's rating. That's fueled speculation the game won't just be more violent overall but could also include sexual content, something a user with early access to the game had previously claimed. The ESRB listing seems to back that up, at least in terms of the overall maturity level.

Meanwhile, Game Informer published a new GTA 6-focused magazine issue on September 29, revealing 12 new screenshots along with a wealth of details covering the open world, dynamic weather, wildlife, NPC realism, and more. It will also be interesting to see whether the new GTA 6 trailer will be a shadow drop or a pre-announced presentation like it was with 'Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look' at Netflix in late August.

Grand Theft Auto VI will release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
