Marvel’s Wolverine skal angivelig ha solgt 3 millioner eksemplarer

It's been just over two weeks since the launch of Marvel's Wolverine, one of this year's more controversial releases. Neither PlayStation nor Insomniac has shared official sales figures yet, but a new insider report suggests the game's doing solidly despite the mixed critical reception.

The numbers come from well-known insider Millie A, who posted on X that Marvel's Wolverine has already crossed 3 million copies sold. According to his sources, the game's custom DualSense controller has also become the best-selling licensed PS5 controller of all time. Back on September 19, Millie A had already put sales at 2.3 million, and official figures from Sony are expected once the company's next financial report drops.

Earlier reporting from Alinea Analytics put early sales of Marvel’s Wolverine at 1.9 million copies in the first three days, while also cautioning the game likely won't match the financial success of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, largely due to the mixed reviews holding back momentum. A 2023 leak had previously suggested the game needed at least 6 million copies in its first year to meet Sony's expectations and justify further Marvel projects at Insomniac. If that benchmark still holds, Marvel's Wolverine is already roughly halfway there.

Last week, Insomniac Games also released an update for Marvel’s Wolverine letting players disable certain ability features that some found more distracting than helpful.
