Tidligere forfatter returnerte til CD Projekt RED for å jobbe med The Witcher 4

One of CD Projekt RED’s top priorities—if not the top priority—is The Witcher 4, the next installment in the saga, which was officially announced in 2024 and will feature Ciri as the main character. The studio is actively working on the game, and we have learned that the developers have added a strong new member to their writing team.

As Reddit users noted, citing a LinkedIn profile, Karolina Stachyra, the senior writer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, has rejoined CD Projekt RED to work on the fourth installment. It has come to light she returned to the studio several months ago, but the information has only just been made official. While working on the third entry, she served as the narrative designer for the Hearts of Stone expansion and also helped write the script for the Blood Baron storyline in the original game. After initially leaving CD Projekt RED, she worked at Techland on Dying Light 2 and at GSC Game World on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Now, she will serve as senior writer for The Witcher 4, which is great news for the game and its fans.

Recently, I was browsing through LinkedIn and saw that this phenomenal woman rejoined our beloved studio. Back in 2015 and 2016 she was working there on e.g. Bloody Baron's questline from the main game and Dead's Man Party from Hearts of Stone. I am happy to see more and more rejoinings!

Any plot details for The Witcher 4 remain under wraps, but it’s believed the upcoming DLC for the third game, Songs of the Past, set to release next year, will somehow serve as a foundation for it. Also, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, an enhanced version of the original game that has already received rave reviews from critics, will release tomorrow on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

As for The Witcher 4, CD Projekt RED has previously revealed their plans to release the game in 2028 (on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5).
