ARC Raiders Riven Tides-oppdatering: Nytt kart, fiende og hendelse
Embark Studios has officially revealed full details for the Riven Tides update in ARC Raiders, confirming its release on April 28. The update continues the studio’s steady 2026 content cadence and introduces a new map, enemy type, gameplay systems, and a limited-time event.
Azzurro Beach — New Map
The central addition in Riven Tides is Azzurro Beach, a deserted coastal region that has fallen to machines after the First Wave failed to defend it. Instead of the previously rumored volcanic setting, players will now explore a more open shoreline environment with key locations such as the Panorama Azzurro resort and a large dockyard.
This change in environment significantly affects gameplay. The wider sightlines and reduced cover make positioning more important, while traversal becomes a bigger factor in both combat and looting. I think this kind of shift helps keep the game’s map rotation feeling fresh without fundamentally changing its core design.

ARC Turbine — New Enemy
Riven Tides introduces the ARC Turbine, which differs from most enemies currently in the game. Rather than immediately attacking, it remains passive at a distance and only becomes dangerous when players approach.
Its design focuses on defense rather than aggression, requiring players to engage more carefully. This creates a slower, more deliberate encounter compared to standard fights and adds variety to PvE interactions.
Beachcombing and New Mechanics
A new map condition called Beachcombing adds an additional layer to looting. Players can use the Dockmaster’s Detector to find buried loot across the coastline. However, the device occupies one weapon slot, forcing a trade-off between combat readiness and exploration.
At the same time, Embark emphasizes that high-value loot is often still located in open, high-risk areas, reinforcing the game’s risk-reward structure.
To support movement across the new terrain, the update introduces tools that improve traversal and reduce fall damage, making vertical navigation less punishing.
Last Resort Event
From April 28 to May 25, players can participate in the Last Resort event. Progress is tied to experience gained during successful runs, with rewards unlocked through continued play.
Key rewards include:
- Junior Outfit
- Hydrologist backpack
- Additional cosmetic items
Players can also collect Ship Model collectibles for bonus progression, with higher rarity items granting greater rewards. Up to 250 Raider Tokens can be earned and used for new cosmetic sets such as Rachetta and Solare.
Avian Alarm Project
Riven Tides also adds a new Raider Project called Avian Alarm. This system introduces structured progression tied to environmental monitoring. Players deploy buoys along the coastline to track changes and complete a series of objectives.
Completing all stages unlocks several rewards, including the Dockmaster’s Detector, Gel Patches, and cosmetic attachments. The system provides longer-term goals without disrupting the main gameplay loop.
Overall Impact
Riven Tides is the final update listed in the early 2026 roadmap, but it clearly shows that ARC Raiders continues to evolve. The combination of a new environment, a more tactical enemy, and expanded progression systems adds meaningful depth without overcomplicating the experience.
Given the consistent pace of updates so far, it is likely that Embark Studios will continue to expand the game beyond this roadmap in the coming months.
Also, note how the Arc Raiders challenge system has been reworked.
