Naughty Dog Boss kan ha ødelagt historien om The Last of Us: Part III

The Last of Us: Part III is one of the games that are not being announced yet but are reportedly in development at Naughty Dog studio. We heard some rumors and speculations in the past, but recent ones are coming not from doubtful sources but from the director of Naughty Dog himself—Neil Druckmann.

A few weeks ago, he decided to remember his first drafts for the original Last of Us game that he made in 2003 and posted it on Instagram, and the fans have noticed, and fans particularly liked one of his comments on the post— “especially the few stops that remain on the road ahead”. By the way, this is clearly not the last hint at The Last of Us: Part III from Druckmann, as he recently appeared on the Kiwi Talkz podcast, where he may have accidentally (or perhaps not) revealed a possible plot for the third installment. Specifically, he reveals that in the world of The Last of Us there are people who are immune, not just Ellie, and he would like to explore that with multiple characters.

There is also an addition to Drakmann's remarks. According to the insider LibraryTow, in a conversation between Naughty Dog director and a former employee, initially the studio wanted to explore the idea with other immune citizens in The Last of Us: Part II, but it was cut to focus on a feud between Ellie and Abby. However, as The Last of Us: Part III is reportedly in development, it’s likely to be the central topic of its story.

“Neil Druckmann confirmed to a former Naughty Dog employee that there is a group of immune individuals in The Last of Us.

The original plan was to explore this idea with several such characters in the second game. Ultimately, this didn't happen, but there's a possibility that this could be a plot point in TLOU 3.”

Naughty Dog is confirmed to be working on their new IP—Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but a recent report from another gaming insider, Alir, reveals the studio is also developing not only The Last of Us: Part III but also Uncharted 5, in which Nathan Drake will be involved.
