Lærerklasse detaljert i ny Elden Ring Nightreign DLC-forhåndsvisning
FromSoftware has offered the first clear look at the Scholar, one of two new Nightfarers arriving in Elden Ring: Nightreign’s The Forsaken Hollows DLC on December 4. The reveal outlines a class built around arcane expertise and battlefield awareness, with early footage showing a mix of spellwork, tactical scanning, and close-range strikes. The preview positions the Scholar as a flexible option for players who favor observation-driven abilities rather than raw force.
According to the official DLC site, the Scholar carries high arcane attributes and an ability to read enemy behavior in real time. Footage shows him surveying hostile groups before their defenses appear to weaken, suggesting a system that rewards identifying threats and exploiting vulnerabilities. The exact mechanics remain undisclosed, but the visual cues imply that the scanning action lowers resistance or disrupts coordinated enemy patterns.
A second spell appears during a boss encounter against player-character clones. The magic links allies and enemies through a shared tether. When one clone falls, the other two collapse at the same moment. The footage hints at a mirrored consequence for the player’s side, binding all linked characters to the same risk. The design pushes coordinated play but raises the stakes during multi-target fights, where the collapse of one fighter could drop an entire group. Beyond magic, the Scholar also wields a straightforward sword, used with light, fencing-style precision. Unlike the spellwork, the blade carries no visible enhancement and serves as a conventional option when spacing or timing favors melee.
The Forsaken Hollows introduces two Nightfarers at launch. The Undertaker, the second class, has yet to receive a formal showcase. The expansion also adds two bosses, shifting terrain features, and additional content described only as “more.” With release set for next week, the remaining details are likely to surface ahead of launch or through community discovery once players enter the new areas.
