Alle Wuchang: Fallen Feathers-avslutninger forklart og hvordan du får dem
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers has four different endings—bad, good, secret, and true—and it's possible to get all of them in a single playthrough with a bit of save file prep. You’ll need to make key decisions, complete specific quests, and back up your save folder at the right times. The secret and true endings depend on a rare item called the Ring of Samsara–Rebirth, while the default path will just drop you into New Game Plus unless you plan ahead. Here's how every ending works and when to lock in your backups to avoid replaying the whole game from scratch.
This continues our previous coverage in “Wuchang: Fallen Feathers hits nig on Steam, but UE5 problems drag it down,” where we explored the rocky launch and performance complaints. Now it’s all about how to finish the game the way you want.
You can get all four endings in one run, but only if you make manual backups of your save folder.
On PC, go to this location:
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\Project_Plague\Saved
Copy the whole “Saved” folder somewhere safe. After watching one ending, move your backup back into that location, launch the game, and choose “Load Game.” You’ll return to where you left off without getting locked into New Game Plus. Do this before triggering any of the following key decision points.
The three critical save points are: – Right before helping or refusing the Storyteller in Annalum – Right before talking to Xuanyangzi in the Burning Cave – Right after the final boss in Bo Capital but before using the gate

The default ending: Jarful of Medicine
This is the ending most players will stumble into on a blind playthrough. In Annalum, agree to help the Storyteller. Later in the Burning Cave, you’ll find Xuanyangzi injured. Give him the Jade Feather Chisel. He’ll become available as a summon for the final boss—the Dragon Emperor. Beat him and continue into Bo Capital. After defeating the final boss “Feathery Ambition,” use the gate and enter the Realm of Samsara. That’s the end—bad ending achieved.

The secret ending: Successor of the Bo
You won’t even reach Bo Capital with this one. First, find the Red-Clad Lady at these locations: Reverent Temple, Doomwillow Beach, and Avian Dwelling. Each time, talk to her. At Avian Dwelling, agree with her to get the Divine Blessing spell. Then, when you reach Annalum, refuse the Storyteller’s request—twice. That will unlock the path to the Palace Entrance, where you’ll fight and defeat the Bo Magus. The ending triggers there. This bypasses the whole Dragon Emperor route and skips the other regions entirely. It’s the fastest but also the most hidden path.
The item you need for the other two endings: Ring of Samsara – Rebirth
This item is the key to getting either the good or true ending. You’ll need to complete all quests for He Youzai and Fang Yao, two NPCs that appear throughout the game. You also have to agree to help the Storyteller in Annalum (same as for the bad ending). In Reverent Temple, Fang Yao gives you a Journal (Scrap 3) and Ring of Samsara – Cause. Give the Journal to He Youzai to get Ring of Samsara – Effect.
Next, when you meet Xuanyangzi in the Burning Cave, choose to remain silent. Do not give him the Jade Feather Chisel.
Later, after beating the final boss in Bo Capital, go to the Shrine Dwelling area via a special Mystery Gate. Interact with the altar there to combine the Cause and Effect into Ring of Samsara – Rebirth. If you don’t do all of this, you’re locked out of both the good and true endings.

The good ending: Dream’s Sweet Deceit
Once you’ve got the Rebirth ring, beat the final boss and save your game before using the gate. Use the gate normally and enter the Realm of Dreams. This gives you the “good” outcome. It’s built off the same decisions as the bad ending but requires the Rebirth ring and Xuanyangzi staying out of the fight.

The true ending: Bound By Fate’s Threads
This one’s simple if you’ve made the backup. Load your save after the final boss but before the gate. Go into your inventory and either discard or use the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth. Without the ring, interacting with the gate sends you into the Realm of Truth instead of Samsara or Dreams. That’s the trigger for the true ending—everything converges here, including choices, characters, and consequences.
The game will always boot you into New Game Plus after finishing any of the four endings.
This is why backups matter. There’s no clean way to replay your original run unless you manually copy saves. The NG+ mode resets your progress while keeping your character and gear, so it’s not ideal for casual replays or hunting achievements tied to endings.
How to not miss anything
There’s no chapter select or post-game replay option in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. If you want to explore all endings without multiple playthroughs, your only option is save folder management. Players who didn’t create backups will need to do a full NG+ run to reach alternate paths. Given how long the game is—and how much grinding it expects—that’s not exactly fun the second time around.
