Deadlock might be one of the worst-kept secrets in gaming, but after months of rumors and leaks, Valve has officially unveiled their new title.

Although the game is still in its limited early access phase, this shooter-focused MOBA already boasts tens of thousands of daily players. The excitement around Deadlock is so intense that it has shattered player count records, even in this early stage.

With a wide range of characters to choose from, each of which can be upgraded throughout matches to enhance abilities and strength, Deadlock presents a steep learning curve.

While it's common for gamers to feel frustrated when learning a new game, Deadlock players seem to embrace the challenge. Many are perfectly content with feeling like "noobs" because they are having so much fun with the new title.

In a Reddit thread asking if others are enjoying the game despite "being a noob," Deadlock players have shared their experiences with the new 6v6 hero-shooter. Many users highlighted how "refreshing" it is to play a game "just for fun," even when they are "getting wrecked in every game."

"There’s something incredibly refreshing about playing a game purely for fun," shared one Reddit user, who added that "the last time felt this way about gaming was when PUBG launched."

Others quickly echoed these feelings, emphasizing how Deadlock keeps players engaged even during a loss.

"Losing in Deadlock isn’t nearly as frustrating as in DOTA; sometimes, you’re just stuck in your base with nothing to do because you have 0 wards," commented one user. "In Deadlock, for the most part, you can still run around and do cool, active movement stuff," they added.
