Phase 7 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to begin following the release of Avengers: Secret Wars, and its first project will be a X-Men reboot, whose cast—or at least part of it— was recently officially confirmed. At the same time, Marvel Studios has not yet shared more extensive plans for the MCU’s future, but a new leak may have lifted the veil a little.

Details about Phase 7 projects were shared on social media by insider Claire Brooke, who cited a leak from Telegram channels. Overall, the following list of films, TV series, and special presentations currently in development at Marvel Studios has been revealed, and you can check them out below.

Movies:

  • Nova - Marvel has officially confirmed the development of a film about Nova, which was originally planned as a Disney+ series. Michael Waldron, who previously worked on the Loki series and Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, will serve as the director and screenwriter. Richard Rider is expected to be the lead character.
  • Fantastic Four II - A sequel to The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which was released last year.
  • Shang-Chi: Dragon Seed - Marvel Studios has also officially confirmed the sequel to Shang-Chi, the original film released in 2021. Destin Daniel Cretton will return as director.
  • Scarlet Witch - A rumored solo film centered on Elizabeth Olsen's character. She is reportedly set to return in Avengers: Doomsday and play a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars, where the groundwork for a future solo film will likely be laid.
  • Annihilators - In the comics, the Annihilators are a team of superheroes consisting of defenders of the cosmos, including Beta Ray Bill, Cosmo, Gladiator, the Silver Surfer, and others. The MCU version will likely differ from the original lineup and will serve as a sort of replacement for the Guardians of the Galaxy.
  • Midnight Sons - Marvel has also confirmed a new film about Ghost Rider, starring Ryan Gosling. The film will likely set the stage for the Midnight Sons, as the leak confirms. It's a team of mystical superheroes, some of whom have already appeared in the MCU, such as Doctor Strange and Moon Knight.
  • Avengers: Judgment Days - It appears that the next MCU crossover will follow Doomsday and Secret Wars. In the comics, there is a major event called Judgment Day, in which the Avengers face off against the X-Men and the Eternals. Given that the Eternals have already appeared in the MCU and the debut of the new X-Men is just around the corner, this crossover seems like a logical next step.

TV Shows:

  • Luke Cage and Iron Fist - Played by Mike Colter and Finn Jones, respectively—Luke Cage and Iron Fist are set to return in the third and final season of Daredevil: Born Again. However, according to a leak, they will have their own show. In the comics, the duo is known as Heroes for Hire—an agency that protects New York City residents from dangerous criminals.
  • Strange Academy - Although Doctor Strange 3 isn’t on the list, the franchise will live on thanks to a series titled Strange Academy. In the Marvel comics, it’s a sort of counterpart to Hogwarts, where kids from different universes and dimensions study. The ending of Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness also hinted at this to some extent.
  • Champions - In Marvel comics, there are several groups called the Champions, but in the context of the MCU, it refers to the Young Avengers. Most likely, this team will include heroes such as Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Ironheart, Cassie Lang, and others, making these young heroes a crucial part of the universe.
  • Shadow with Steel - It may not be the best-known title, but there’s a Marvel comic series called Steel & Shadow dedicated to Shadowcat and Colossus. Given that neither character has been confirmed for the X-Men movie—and it’s unlikely they’ll appear in it—the MCU will be setting the stage for other mutants to appear in separate projects.

Special Presentations:

  • Nightcrawler - Further evidence of this comes from a leak regarding the special presentation devoted to Nightcrawler. His role in the X-Men movie has not been confirmed either, so Marvel plans to introduce him separately.
  • Man-Thing—Man-Thing has already made his debut in the MCU, in a special Disney+ presentation titled Werewolf by Night. The character hasn't appeared in any movies or TV shows since then, but a leak confirms that Marvel hasn't forgotten about him. He may also appear in the aforementioned Midnight Sons movie.
  • Jessica Jones - Another member of the Defenders, Jessica Jones, will also get her own solo project after returning in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. Interestingly, Daredevil himself won’t be getting his own standalone project as part of the MCU’s Phase 7, but that doesn’t mean he won’t appear in any of the other projects.

More recently, Marvel also confirmed they're working on a spy series titled Zodiac and shared updates on several animated shows. As for upcoming releases, Avengers: Doomsday is set to premiere this December—a massive MCU crossover featuring the full-fledged debut of one of the greatest villains from the comics, Doctor Doom, played by Robert Downey Jr.
