Overwatch 2 has officially unveiled its highly anticipated collaboration with Gundam Wing, celebrating the anime’s 30th anniversary. Players can now look forward to four stunning new skins: Wing Gundam Zero Mercy, Epyon Ramattra, Tallgeese Soldier: 76, and Deathscythe Reaper. These cosmetics, along with a special in-game event, will be available from April 29 through May 12.

Full Skin Lineup Revealed

Although fans caught an early glimpse of a Gundam-themed Mercy skin in the Overwatch 2 Season 16 trailer, the full lineup remained a mystery — until now.

The collaboration features:

• Wing Gundam Zero Mercy
• Epyon Ramattra
• Tallgeese Soldier: 76
• Deathscythe Reaper

Each skin will be available in shop bundles for 2800 Overwatch Coins (about $28 each), or players can purchase the Mega Bundle containing all four skins and additional cosmetics for 5900 Overwatch Coins (around $59).

Additional Rewards and Challenges

Beyond the premium cosmetics, players will have the opportunity to complete special in-game challenges to earn exclusive Gundam Wing-themed rewards, including:

• Zero System Spray
• Gundamari Weapon Charm

While exact challenge details will be revealed when the event begins, it’s expected that progress will be made simply by playing matches — offering a straightforward way to earn collectibles and bonus Battle Pass XP.

Leaks Confirmed

Interestingly, credible leaks had already hinted at these very skins. Twitter user wiki_ow and datamined images of Overwatch 2 Name Cards correctly predicted the collaboration lineup. With the official reveal, both leaks have been confirmed accurate.

Event Trailer and Map Setting

The event’s trailer is set on the beloved Horizon Lunar Colony map. Although this classic Assault map is currently only accessible in Custom Games and Arcade, Overwatch 2 has shown a willingness to revive maps in new ways — as seen with Paris being reimagined in the new Stadium mode. With future updates planned for Stadium, there’s hope that Horizon Lunar Colony could officially return to standard play sometime down the line.
