Embargoen mot GTA 6-anmeldelser oppheves angivelig 18. november, anmeldereksemplarer sendes snart

Only days remain until GTA 6, the most anticipated game of 2026, officially launches. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S owners have long had November 19 circled on their calendars. Official details about the launch, including the exact time and when the review embargo lifts, are still unknown, but some new and interesting reports have come out.

The information about the embargo and when journalists get their GTA 6 copies came from BlackBate, a user on the ResetEra forum who is an Insider Gaming rep. According to BlackBate, critics will get copies of GTA 6 either early next week or between November 2 and 8, with both options available. More interesting is what he revealed about the embargo: Rockstar may be planning a global GTA 6 launch for all regions and platforms, since the embargo will reportedly lift on November 18 at 6 a.m. EST. Earlier reports claimed New Zealand players would get the game first, but that may not be the case. That said. Rockstar Games hasn’t released any official information on this.

Rockstar might lock GTA 6 to a global release time on both PS5 & Xbox Series X|S.

The review embargo is lifting on November 18 at 6 AM EST (rumoured), raising the possibility that New Zealand players might not be able to launch the game earlier. Not official yet.

Many social media users and gamers reveal they’d like a global launch of GTA 6 so that nobody gets the game a few hours early and posts spoilers online.
