The Party Won't Stop puts Dylan in a lyric-matching contest against an Altered karaoke machine, with a room full of partygoers as the stakes. Get a line wrong or run out the timer and one of them dies. The rewards arrive either way, but the trophy does not, which makes this one of the few side stories worth preparing for before you walk in.

The Party Won't Stop Quest Overview

How to Reach the Party

The apartment complex is on the southwestern edge of the West Incursion Zone, and you need Shift from the Incursion Fault to get there.

The way in is the rooftop, not the front door. From the north-south street that leads to the purple-tinted apartment window, look for the large mass of blue mold at the intersection.

Head east from the mold, then turn back west when you reach the construction area. You can fight the enemies here or ignore them entirely, since they will not follow you across the gap to the apartment roof.

Jump across to the rooftop and go in through the blue door. Head down to the lowest level and the purple-lit apartment is on your left.

The Karaoke Machine

Inside is a group of partygoers who have been dancing for what feels to them like eternity, kept there by an Altered karaoke machine.

Freeing them and containing the machine means beating it at its own game. It sings a line, and you have to finish that line with the correct rhyme from the options offered.

You get a few seconds per answer. Choosing wrong or letting the timer run out kills one of the partygoers.

These are the nine answers, in the order the machine asks for them:

Note that the last answer breaks the pattern of the first eight. It is a single word rather than a line ending, so do not skim past it expecting another rhyme.

How to Protect the Trophy

Letting partygoers die costs you nothing in rewards. The Artifact and the cosmetic arrive regardless of how many survive.

What you lose is the Be What You Want to Be trophy, which requires a clean run, and a little extra lore that only plays if everyone lives.

Control Resonant has no manual saves, only autosaves, but it does give you five profile save slots. Duplicating your profile before you walk into the party costs nothing and removes the risk entirely:

1. Quit to the title screen before entering the party building
2. Duplicate your profile save into an empty slot
3. Load the original and play through the quest
4. If you miss a line, pause, open Settings, select Load Game, and take the autosave from before the karaoke started

Players who already finished the quest without the trophy are not locked out. Load an early permanent save, such as the one written after a main mission, and come back to the party.

The Party Won't Stop Rewards

Completing the quest pays out the Untapped Bar Blade Artifact and the Varsity Jacket cosmetic, plus the Be What You Want to Be trophy if nobody died.

As with every Untapped-line item, the Artifact has to be activated and equipped before it does anything, and its full description is worth reading, since some Artifacts attach a drawback to their buff.

What to Do Next

You need Shift to be here at all, which means the West Incursion Zone is open to you. Control Resonant The Last Taxi Walkthrough has its hardest taxi in this zone, a short way south of the Resonant arena, and the same ability is what makes it reachable.
