GTA 6 vil ha tre typer penger – alle detaljer forklart

Following last week’s premiere of Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on Netflix, players continue to explore the gameplay in search of new details and mechanics while also getting information from those lucky enough to have access to an early version of the game. One recent report reveals how Rockstar has redesigned the money mechanics in GTA 6 and what options players will have in the game to pad their wallets.

As revealed by TGG, one of the players who was able to personally test GTA 6 and has already shared official details, the game will feature three types of money: cash that you carry on you, a bank account, and money (and other valuables) that you can store in a travel bag—such as loot obtained during heists. However, if your character dies, you’ll lose all your cash, and you’ll have to take the stolen contents of your money bag to a fence. As in the fifth installment, players in GTA 6 will be able to deposit money into their bank account so they don’t lose it.

GTA 6 has 3 types of money:

  • Cash you carry
  • Money in your bank account
  • Loot stored in a duffle bag

Cash you’re carrying can be lost if you die, while stolen loot must be taken to a fence. Cash needs to be deposited at an ATM to keep it safe.

Meanwhile, rainy_wav, who has also previously shared details about GTA 6, has revealed additional information regarding the game’s money mechanics. Specifically, it’s claimed that you won’t be able to become a millionaire by robbing every store in the game, since your wallet has a $20,000 limit. So far, it’s unclear whether this applies only to cash and if there will be any restrictions when depositing funds into your account, but this also adds a sense of realism to the game, since—unlike in previous games in the series—you can no longer literally carry all your money with you.

Unlike GTA 5, your wallet will now be capped at $20,000. In the Extended Look, you can see that having $3,146 fills up your wallet by ~56.63°, which translates to 15.73%. That would mean a 100% full wallet corresponds to $20,000.

Rockstar is clearly focusing on realism in every aspect of GTA 6, and the revamped money system is yet another example of this. Previously, more detailed information had already surfaced about how the car refueling system works in GTA 6 —a feature that’s making its debut in the franchise’s history—as well as an explanation of all the icons related to police pursuit of players.

For now, you can also find out everything we know about GTA 6 so far—the story, gameplay, map, open world, platforms, and more - as well as how GTA 6 is reshaping the 2026 game calendar and everything about GTA 6 pre-order details: price, bonuses, exact time, and Ultimate Edition.
