Capcom is officially working on two projects set in the Resident Evil universe: a story DLC for Requiem, the ninth installment released this year, and Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of the original 2000 game. According to a recent leak, the two projects will be linked by the appearance of one of the villains in both.

We’re talking about Zeno, a member of the group The Connections, who is one of the villains in Resident Evil Requiem and shares some similarities with Albert Wesker. According to Monica Denizen, the ex-girlfriend of Craig Burnatowski—who voiced Zeno, as well as Wesker in the Resident Evil 4 Remake—we can expect the character to appear in both the story DLC for Requiem and in Resident Evil Veronica. Furthermore, she also stated that the character is likely to appear in the Resident Evil Zero remake, which, according to rumors, is also in development. Craig Burnatowski’s ex-girlfriend has leaked new details about Resident Evil Requiem DLC and Resident Evil Veronica.

Following the recent leaks about the voice cast for the Veronica and Zero remakes, Monica Denizen, the former girlfriend of Albert Wesker and Zeno actor Craig Burnatowski, shared more details about his future Resident Evil roles in the comments under a post on X.

According to Monica, Zeno will return in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem DLC:

“He’s going to be in the RE9 DLC too.”

She also says Craig is involved in Resident Evil Veronica:

“He is in Code Veronica.”

RENews_X also mentioned a cast leak for Resident Evil Veronica and Resident Evil Zero: a report provided by MP1st confirms that Craig Burnatowski will reprise his role as Albert Wesker in Code Veronica's remake, while Stephanie Panisello and Jeff Schine will return as Claire and Chris Redfield, respectively. Additionally, the source revealed the casting of new actors. For instance, Matthew Castle will voice Steve Burnside, Claire’s ally, while Rodrigo Juan Raval, an Umbrella security commander, will be played by Vincent Kerschbaum. As for the yet-to-be-announced Resident Evil Zero remake, the lead roles in the project have been cast with Hallea Jones (Rebecca Chambers) and Jon McLaren (Billy Coen). It is reported that Craig Burnatowski will once again voice Wesker in this remake as well.

Speaking of Zeno’s return in the Requiem DLC and his appearance in Resident Evil Veronica, Dusk Golem, a reputable franchise insider, had already reported that Capcom plans to link the remakes of older installments with the new games and even predicted that Zeno might be one of those connecting pieces. What’s more, there are reports that Resident Evil Veronica will feature a full-fledged cameo by Leon S. Kennedy, who was only mentioned in an email in the original game.

Resident Evil Veronica will release in 2027 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Story DLC for Resident Evil Requiem is rumored to release afterward; the release date for the expansion is currently unknown.
