Nintendo jobber kanskje med en remastret versjon av The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

This month, Nintendo officially announced a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a project that had been rumored for a long time. The announcement was made during a Nintendo Direct presentation, and the game is expected to be released sometime this year, although the exact release date has not yet been revealed. However, this may not be the only upcoming project in the franchise that fans can look forward to in the near future.

This was reported by Nash Weedle, a well-known Nintendo insider. During one of his recent streams, he revealed that the company plans to release a new, possibly remastered version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Switch 2. He also mentioned The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker but clarified that the development of an updated version of the game may have hit a snag, and currently, the project is not a priority for Nintendo.

A "New" Version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess might come to Switch 2 according to Nash Weedle

On a recent podcast Nash Weedle explained in English translation:

"Zelda Twilight Princess (until not so long ago) I hadn't heard anything about it, but it seems a new version could arrive at some point" "I had already commented a while back that I wasn't expecting either Wind Waker or Twilight Princess if they couldn't incorporate something more into them, and now with the Switch 2, it's possible. For Twilight Princess: strong rumors have reached me, but for Wind Waker: it seems to have been left in limbo"

Take it with a huge grain of salt because rumors about TP coming to Switch have been around since 2020 and nothing ever happened and also it's... Nash Weedle (who also said a 2D Zelda is coming in 2027 so it makes no sense unless TP is 2028?) honestly at this point I'm posting this for cope because I wish it becomes true lol.

Nash Weedle recently revealed that Rockstar Games is actively working on a Switch 2 version of GTA 6. The studio has already started hiring specialists to port the game to Nintendo's platform and has addressed many technical issues. However, the game’s release on this platform is not planned for this year, and the developers have only confirmed releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S so far. As for the updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, it is likely not a full remake like Ocarina of Time, but rather a remastered edition featuring new enhancements such as high-resolution textures, improved shadows, increased draw distance, and more.
