Det ryktes at Star Wars: Jedi 3 skal annonseres på Summer Game Fest

Rumors have long been circulating that Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment are working on the third installment of the Star Wars: Jedi franchise. Interestingly, shortly before the major gaming exhibitions scheduled for this week, one of the most reliable insiders spoke about the game.

This is about Tom Henderson, who recently appeared on the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, during which he revealed some details about the unannounced Star Wars: Jedi sequel. In particular, he stated that the version of Cal Kestis in the upcoming game will be more mature than he was the last time he appeared in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which was released in 2023.

“I mean this was like a year a year ago or whatever, but I heard that like Cal was going to be older in the game, so I don’t know if they’re doing like a little time jump or something.”

In continuation of the topic, he also speculated that the official game announcement could take place during the Summer Game Fest, which will be held from June 5 to 8. Early rumors also claimed that Star Wars: Jedi 3 would be the most ambitious project of the franchise, will include new planets, and the story will center on the struggle of Cal's two daughters and the new one (it is unclear whether adopted or biological), as well as the hero's struggle with the Dark Side of the Force. Fuel to the fire was also recently added by a Lucasfilm representative, who in an interview with GameRant stated that more stories about Cal Kestis await us.

In this same episode of the podcast, Tom Henderson also confirmed that at least three new games will be shown at State of Play (June 2): a God of War spin-off about Faye, FairGame$, which might change its name to Brake In, and a remake of Rayman Legends - under the name Rayman Legends Retold.
