PlayStation officially confirmed the next State of Play show that is scheduled for June 2. Moreover, it’s also been revealed that Insomniac Games will present new footage of the upcoming Marvel’s Wolverine title, but it seems like we are about to get more exclusives for PlayStation 5 in less than two weeks.

Shortly after PlayStation announced the date for the new State of Play, the respected game insider NateTheHate was asked whether any PlayStation 5 exclusives would be shown, besides the already confirmed Marvel's Wolverine and, attention, God of War—according to rumors, Santa Monica Studios will present a franchise spin-off focused on Faye at the upcoming presentation. The insider responded in a positive tone, which encouraged many gamers, as you can check out below:

“Yo Nate. Do you think we'll see other exclusives at the coming State of Play, or just the new God of War and Marvel’s Wolverine?

Yes”

And although the announcement of the new installment of God of War at the upcoming State of Play is only speculation, an insider hints that we might expect the appearance of other future releases for PlayStation—for example, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which was announced back in 2024. Nevertheless, in a subsequent post, NateTheHate stated that fans should not get their hopes up too high.

“I hope the State of Play on June 2nd will be a great event. There needs to be some great first party titles. I'm very worried because I love PlayStation. I'd like some good hopes.

I think it'll be a good event -- as long as you keep your expectations realistic.”

There are also rumors that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be finally revealed at State of Play, as the game is confirmed to be in development, as well as even GTA 6. According to DetectiveSeeds, Sony has an agreement with Take-Two, which allows the game to appear at the company’s presentation, like State of Play, especially given the fact that the game’s marketing begins this summer.
