What We Know About Elden Ring Movie

A24, Bandai Namco, or director Alex Garland haven’t revealed any details about the plot of Elden Ring movie. However, as it regularly happens with video game adaptations, this may be another case when the game will be adapted not 100% accurately or even doesn’t have a lot of connection to the original - like 2014’s Need for Speed movie or the upcoming Resident Evil, directed by Zach Cregger, which reportedly doesn’t have a connection to the games, except for a few Easter eggs. As for Elden Ring movie, the first synopsis reveals:

“The Elden Ring was shattered. Its golden light, once eternal, was scattered to the winds of ruin. Marika's offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring. Soon a war began, a war from which no lord arose.”

Earlier this month, the first images and videos from the film’s set leaked online. They show ruined Gothic towers rendered in FromSoftware’s signature style and hint at the appearance of iconic locations from the game in the film.

In Elden Ring video, released back in 2022 by FromSoftware, you play as Tarnished, an exiled warrior who sets off on a journey to the Lands Between to restore the Elden Ring. Along the way, he faces powerful and sinister enemies, including wild beasts, demigods, and monstrous creatures, but as he explores the world around him, he may also encounter characters who will help him survive and gain knowledge.
