Crimson Deserts første imponerende salgstall på Steam avslørt

Crimson Desert is finally releasing tomorrow, and the players cannot wait to play one of the most exciting games of 2026 and, perhaps, the most anticipated RPG this year. There were some concerns when it was revealed the game is using Denuvo on Steam, but a new report may prove Crimson Desert might be a proper financial success, according to the new research.

As revealed via The Alinea Analytics, there are currently about 400,000 copies of Crimson Desert sold, only on Steam, without PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. According to the analyst Rhys Elliott and his report, the game has already made around $20 million profit, with only $2.6 million earned on March 16, and that could be just the beginning. He also revealed Crimson Desert has around 2.2 million wishlists, and, what’s interesting, 62% of wishlisters have also played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 44% have played Elden Ring, and 16% have played Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.

Quite recently, Forbes has revealed another report, which claims Crimson Desert might become the second-best-selling video game of 2026, with only Grand Theft Auto VI generating more money. There are a few factors: big interest among the players on all platforms, lack of exclusive titles, and promising gaming mechanics.

Crimson Desert is an upcoming third-person action RPG developed by Pearl Abyss studio. It was initially a prequel to multiplayer title Black Desert Online before developers decided to make it a standalone single-player project.
