Ny trailer for The Witcher 4 kan bli avslørt i sommer

CD Projekt RED is actively working on a new installment in The Witcher franchise—The Witcher 4. The game was officially announced during The Game Awards 2024, with a reveal trailer and the confirmation that Ciri will be the main character. Although the release date still remained unknown, we might expect the new details to be revealed soon.

The studio released a new AnsweRED podcast on its YouTube channel, where the developers shared some new gameplay features of The Witcher 4 but also revealed the game will appear at Unreal Fest 2026, which will take place this June in Chicago. Though they didn’t mention what kind of announcement we might expect, it’s definitely going to be a new trailer and even gameplay of The Witcher 4. You can also check the new details of fourth installment, revealed by CD Projekt RED developers below:

• Ciri can cast spells, walking/moving while spellcasting;
• Mocap will use cutting edge tech, focus on portraying Ciri's emotions unlike stoic Geralt;
• The game will feature a separate jump button;
• Locomotion will have more than 80 different animations, focus on super realism
• Open world will be much more interactable than Witcher 3: Wild Hunt;
• Swimming underwater is confirmed;
• There will be a huge variety of NPCs;

The Witcher 4 is not the only game in the franchise that is currently in development. It is confirmed that Fool’s Theory studio is working on the 2007’s The Witcher remake and also the new DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is still not announced by CD Projekt RED.
