Hogwarts Legacy 2 is confirmed to be in development by Avalanche Software, though the game hasn’t been revealed yet. Perhaps the biggest mystery surrounding the project is whether it will be single-player, like the original game, or an MMO-RPG.

We have heard rumors and speculations that Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be an MMO-RPG, and a new career post from Avalanche Software just added fuel to the fire. It states the studio is looking to hire a senior software engineer to work on a new online multiplayer RPG video game. The new listing requires the candidates to provide technical support for “player data persistence, matchmaking, lobbies, and server infrastructure.” It could also be a hint Hogwarts Legacy 2 will have Quidditch from the Harry Potter movies - a feature missing from the original Hogwarts Legacy game—where the players will be able to play against each other.

Hopefully, we will see the official announcement of Hogwarts Legacy 2 soon to figure out what game it will be—single - player, MMO-RPG, single-player with separate online mode, or live-service game.
