Oppfølgeren til Hogwarts Legacy blir ikke et MMORPG til tross for nylige rapporter

Hogwarts Legacy sequel is confirmed to be in development after a huge success from the original game released back in 2023. A lot of Harry Potter fans are expecting more from the next title and there was a lot of speculation how the game potentially could look like.

Last month report actually made some players nervous because it said Hogwarts Legacy 2 could me a MMORPG. However, it seems like it was just a speculation, because, according to job posting, Warner Bros. Games and Avalanche Studios are currently looking for high-quality single-player Action-Adventure RPG and preffered candidates must have "a passion for the source material and IP" the game will based on. It's not the only vacancy that hints on Hogwarts Legacy 2 genre: they are also looking for Brand Management and Product Marketing and what's more important - it is said for "assigned PC/console titles within the Harry Potter universe" and another post claiming they also need an Animator with experience of designing creatures and knowledge of human and animal anatomy.

It looks like Hogwarts Legacy 2 will continue the formula of original game and will be a single player action-adventure RPG. But considering reports about possible presence of multiplayer elements, it won't be a surprise to see co-op or multiplayer mode in the sequel, to make the game, at least, bigger in terms of scale than the first title. Let's not forget that The Game Awards 2025 event will happen soon and Hogwarts Legacy 2 could be one of the game that will be officially announced.
