Zenless Zone Zero 2.3 legger til nye agenter og Halloween-temahistorie i oktober

Zenless Zone Zero is preparing to launch its next major content drop with version 2.3, titled Memories of Dreams Bygone. The update will be released on October 15 and focuses on a spooky Halloween-style theme that introduces new Agents, story content, events, and gameplay changes.

One of the main additions in version 2.3 is the introduction of three new Agents, each bringing unique abilities to the roster. Lucia, an S-Rank Ether Support Agent, specializes in recreating Ethereals during combat. She uses Dream Points to enter a Dream state, enabling her to unleash Ether Veil: Wellspring, which boosts max HP for all allies and improves team damage through Sheer Force and Aftershock frequency.

Yidhari, another S-Rank Agent, answers player demand for more Rupture characters. Her kit revolves around Ice attacks that always deal Sheer damage, and she gains Sheer Force based on her max HP. Yidhari’s design adds a layer of risk and reward, since she deals more damage as her HP decreases. Komano Manato rounds out the trio as a new A-Rank Fire Rupture Agent whose Sheer damage also scales with max HP. Alongside the newcomers, version 2.3 banners will feature the return of Vivian and Ju Fufu.

The update’s story chapter sends players to Timesworn Hills, an abandoned research facility with eerie undertones that align with the Halloween season. The narrative begins with a missing person case involving miners and Porcelumex employees, setting up a mystery that unfolds against a backdrop of dark experiments and resource-rich locations. Timesworn Hills also introduces the Spook Shack faction, which plays a central role in this storyline.

Beyond narrative content, gameplay updates are also part of version 2.3. Soldier 0 - Anby is receiving a buff along with combat adjustments, while a new challenge mode called Threshold Simulation pushes players into consecutive battles designed to test endurance and strategy. In addition, the When Dreams Remain Unfinished event introduces a new style of play that borrows from turn-based mechanics. In this mode, players control monsters with special abilities, and completing the event ensures access to Agent Komano Manato.

For players who enjoy side content, the photography event SNAP! Shining Strike is returning with expanded camera controls, filters, and frames. Logging in during version 2.3 will also provide bonus rewards, including 600 Polychromes, 10 Encrypted Master Tapes, and 10 Boopons.

HoYoverse also gave a preview of what is ahead for the game, revealing that future Agents Banyue, Dialyn, Zhao, and Ye Shunguang will be added in upcoming updates. This glimpse suggests that Zenless Zone Zero will continue expanding its roster and deepening its world well beyond this seasonal update.

With its Halloween-inspired setting, new Agents, and mix of narrative intrigue and gameplay experimentation, Memories of Dreams Bygone looks set to deliver a distinct atmosphere compared to previous updates. Zenless Zone Zero players can expect to dive into the content starting October 15.
