The game Spider-Man 2 sold 5 million copies in just 11 days, according to Sony
SonyIn the recent financial reports from Sony, impressive sales figures for the game Spider-Man 2 were revealed, covering the period up to October 30. Released for PlayStation 5 on October 20, the game set a record as the fastest-selling title from PlayStation Studios within the first 24 hours, selling 2.5 million copies worldwide.
The last time such an achievement was announced was with the launch of God of War: Ragnarök, which, according to the company, sold 5.1 million copies in the first week (without data for the first 24 hours).
In June 2020, Sony also reported that The Last of Us Part 2 had sold over 4 million copies in its first three days. The previous record was held by the first Spider-Man game from Insomniac, which reached 3.3 million copies in the first three days.
Spider-Man 2, released on October 20, received high praise from critics, making it one of the most sought-after and highly-rated games from Insomniac to date.
