Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 Update Reveals Hilarious Police Car Bug Amidst Positive Changes

Denne artikkelen er tilgjengelig på følgende språk

It appears that Cyberpunk 2077's 2.0 update still has a few minor bugs, as players have encountered police officers driving around in heavily damaged vehicles. CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has been diligently working on improving the game since its troubled launch in 2020, releasing patches and fixes. The 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC mark a significant step forward, leaving the PS4 and Xbox One generations behind.

With Cyberpunk 2077 now in much better shape, it has experienced a resurgence in popularity thanks to the substantial Phantom Liberty story expansion and the new features introduced in the 2.0 update. The DLC, featuring Hollywood actor Idris Elba as Solomon Reed, introduces players to a new area of Night City called Dogtown, where most of the DLC's 15-20 hours of content take place. Additionally, the impressive 2.0 update revamps the game's skill tree and perks systems, enhances enemy AI, and introduces a comprehensive vehicular combat system.

Despite the numerous bug fixes and improved stability that Cyberpunk 2077 has received over the years, including the recent 2.0 update, it seems that minor bugs are still a part of the experience in a game of this size. On Reddit, a user named Crowzer highlighted a minor bug they've encountered, where police officers in Night City drive around in completely wrecked patrol cars. In the image posted by Crowzer, the police car, with two officers inside, is missing all four doors, all its wheels, and is severely damaged by fire.

Under the Reddit post, Crowzer mentioned that they have two mods installed, which could potentially be the cause of this glitched police car bug. However, another commenter mentioned seeing the same bug three times within 20 hours without any mods installed. This suggests that the bug may be originating from the game itself and is not necessarily caused by mods. Another player also reported encountering the bug after starting a new game with the 2.0 update applied, adding that while it would be best to have these smaller, amusing bugs fixed, they would also feel a sense of nostalgia if they were removed.

While this glitched police car is not a game-breaking bug, Cyberpunk 2077 had far more severe issues when it initially launched in December 2020. The sentiment surrounding the game has significantly improved since then. Hopefully, as the game moves closer to its final state and CD Projekt Red shifts its focus to The Witcher 4 and a potential Cyberpunk sequel, some of these remaining minor bugs can be addressed.
