Valve Introduces Snap Tap Detection for Community Servers
In a recent update, Valve has introduced a feature that allows community server hosts to enable "counter-strafe input automation detection" through the sv_auto_cstrafe command set. This new capability provides server administrators with the tools to detect and combat the use of automated strafing methods, such as Snap Tap.
This update comes nearly a month after Valve's strong stance against Snap Tap and similar tools that allow players to perform automated strafing maneuvers with unfair precision. The addition of these commands is part of Valve’s continued efforts to ensure fair gameplay across all servers.
