Screen Burn keeps revealing details about its upcoming project, Silent Hill: Townfall, a new spin-off in the Konami franchise set to release this September on PC and PlayStation 5. The latest news should make PC owners satisfied, as it reveals what hardware you will need for a smooth experience at both minimum and recommended settings, and by 2026 standards, the requirements don't look all that demanding.

Silent Hill: Townfall's system requirements have been unveiled on the game's Steam page. Players have already noticed they differ slightly from Silent Hill f, another franchise spin-off released last year. Perhaps one thing that stood out is that the developers are targeting 4K at 30 FPS rather than 60 FPS, which is a bit surprising. Either way, you can check out the PC system requirements below:

Minimum (Low settings, 1080p, 30 FPS):

  • OS: Windows 11
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600/Intel i7-8700K
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • GPU: RTX 2060 Super/AMD Radeon RX 6600
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 75 GB

Recommended (High settings, 4K, 30 FPS):

  • OS: Windows 11
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X/Intel i7-9700K
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • GPU: RTX 3080/AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 75 GB

Recently, the first reviews for Silent Hill: Townfall have also started coming in, and they have been mostly positive so far. Gaming outlets have highlighted the first-person perspective that fits perfectly in the game series, along with the horror atmosphere, engaging puzzles, and the mechanics built around the CRTV—a device that works kind of like the radios from the previous franchise games. It's also been confirmed the game will feature five endings (three main, two bonus), with a runtime somewhere between 10 and 14 hours.

Silent Hill: Townfall is set in 1996, in a fictional Scottish town called St. Amelia. The main character, Simon Ordell, finds himself in a place he cannot remember how he ended up in, and he has to find a nurse named Zoe, whose fate turns out to be tied not just to the town but to Ordell himself.
