Oppdateringsnotater for ARC Raiders Flashpoint: Ny fiende, kartendringer og rettelser
Embark Studios has released the Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders on March 31, delivering a substantial content drop packed with new gameplay elements, balance changes, and extensive bug fixes. The update is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, marking the third major patch in the game’s 2026 roadmap.
Flashpoint continues Embark’s steady rollout of seasonal updates, following Headwinds and Shrouded Sky, with one final major update—Riven Tides—still planned.
Flashpoint Update Overview
The March 31 update (version 1.22.0) introduces a new map condition, additional weapons, a dangerous new enemy type, and broad improvements across systems and performance.
One of the central additions is the Close Scrutiny map condition, where players must secure valuable loot from a heavily guarded Assessor. This creates high-risk encounters, as both ARC enemies and rival players compete for control.
New Enemy and Expanded Threats
Flashpoint significantly raises the danger level with the introduction of a new ARC type:
- Vaporizer — A flying enemy equipped with powerful laser attacks and unpredictable behavior patterns
In addition, the previously map-exclusive Shredder has now been expanded:
- Can appear across multiple maps
- Still limited to specific conditions on Dam Battlegrounds
I think expanding the Shredder beyond Stella Montis is a strong move, as it forces players to rethink strategies across different environments instead of mastering a single map-specific threat.
Gameplay and Balance Changes
The update introduces several important balance adjustments affecting enemies, loot, and matchmaking:
ARC Changes
- Rocketeers now take less collision damage and are no longer instantly destroyed when stunned
- Reduced chances of multiple Fireflies spawning together
- Faster enemy detection of nearby players
Loot and Progression
- Increased loot value in locked rooms (scaled by key rarity)
- Increased loot drops from Baron Husks
Matchmaking
- Players using custom loadouts are now more likely to enter fresh servers
These changes aim to reward preparation and improve overall session quality.
New Features and Improvements
Flashpoint also introduces quality-of-life updates and system improvements:
- Crafting system enhancements (including easier material access)
- HUD customization options (especially for console players)
- Improved audio clarity and positional sound
- Updated animations and smoother movement transitions
I see the matchmaking adjustment as particularly impactful, since prioritizing fresh servers for custom loadouts could improve both pacing and fairness in matches.
Map Updates
Several maps have received adjustments to improve gameplay flow and enemy behavior:
- Dam Battlegrounds — Improved enemy navigation and spawn distribution
- Buried City — Expanded navigation routes and more consistent spawns
- Blue Gate — Adjusted large enemy coverage
- Spaceport — Increased resource availability and improved loot opportunities
- Stella Montis — Minor fixes and environment corrections
Additionally, the Shredder is now integrated into the broader map pool, further increasing encounter variety.
Bug Fixes and Performance
The update includes a wide range of fixes and optimizations:
- Improved CPU and texture streaming performance
- Reduced visual glitches (shadows, vegetation, effects)
- Fixed issues with animations, UI, and audio
- Addressed gameplay bugs related to movement, items, and interactions
Quest systems have also been improved, with better tracking and clearer progress indicators.
Known Issues
Despite the extensive fixes, some issues remain:
- Fireflies may occasionally disappear after going idle
- Shredders can clip into ceilings in certain locations
- Some visual and collision bugs persist across maps
- Occasional audio glitches and animation inconsistencies
Embark has acknowledged these problems and is expected to address them in future updates.
What This Means for Players
The Flashpoint update is a significant step forward for ARC Raiders, expanding both content and gameplay depth. With new threats, improved systems, and refined mechanics, the patch enhances the overall experience while setting the stage for the upcoming Riven Tides update.
Players can expect more dynamic encounters and higher stakes, especially with the introduction of new enemies and expanded map conditions.
