FromSoftware blokkerte utviklingen av Bloodborne-nyinnspillingen

The closure of Bluepoint Games, the developers of Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus remakes, has left PlayStation fans disappointed. Moreover, it’s been recently revealed that the studio wanted to make the remake of one of the best PlayStation exclusives, but Sony reportedly refused to give a green light. Although it was a more like speculation, now we have more detailed information.

A few days after the closure of Bluepoint Games, gaming insider Detective Seeds shared that the studio pitched the idea of making a Bloodborne remake to Sony, but the deal hasn’t been completed due to “internal politics of Bloodborne involving a fragile relationship with FromSoftware, Sony, and the original IP.” A new Bloomberg report gives more information on that and actually reveals Sony has given a green light to make the remake of 2015’s action RPG, but FromSoftware, the developers, has blocked the deal. That’s why the Bloodborne remake has never seen the light of day.

It’s interesting to remember last month’s interview of FromSoftware's Hidetaka Miyazaki, when he spoke to GamesRadar. He reveals that Bloodborne is a special game for him, and because of that, players have started to build theories about why a Bloodborne sequel, remake, or remaster is not being released. But, who knows, maybe Miyazaki wants to make the remake of Bloodborne himself, and that’s why the development hasn’t been given to Bluepoint Games. Anyway, the studio has recommended itself thanks to the remakes of Demon’s Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, and there is no doubt we would have received a high-quality remake of Bloodborne.
