Fortnite annonserer Horror-crossover med Resident Evil Requiem som kommer i 2026

Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite will be teaming up with Resident Evil Requiem for a major crossover event arriving next year. The announcement follows the success of the ongoing Fortnitemares Halloween celebration, which has already added more than 20 horror-themed skins inspired by franchises like Friday the 13th and Scooby-Doo.

This is not Fortnite’s first encounter with Capcom’s legendary survival-horror series. Previous collaborations introduced Resident Evil icons such as Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and Claire Redfield, the latter pair debuting in 2023 alongside the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Now, the battle royale is preparing to expand its S.T.A.R.S. lineup once again with new Resident Evil Requiem content expected in 2026.

The partnership was revealed through the Epic Games Store, where players who pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem will receive an exclusive Fortnite bonus — a skin based on the game’s protagonist Grace Ashcroft. Epic also teased that “other items” will be included, hinting at additional cosmetics linked to the horror title. While no exact release date for the crossover has been announced, it is likely to coincide with Resident Evil Requiem’s launch on February 27.

This collaboration arrives as Fortnite continues to expand its universe with ambitious crossovers. The upcoming end of Chapter 6 will reportedly introduce a Simpsons-themed mini-season featuring a new map and character skins, while leaks suggest South Park cosmetics could also be on the way. Recent events have seen partnerships with the Netflix film K-Pop Demon Hunters and a full-scale Daft Punk Experience, complete with new music for Fortnite Festival.

With The Simpsons season around the corner and Resident Evil Requiem joining the lineup next year, Fortnite shows no signs of slowing down its ever-growing roster of cross-universe collaborations.
