After over ten years, The Sims 4 is finally welcoming back the infamous burglar. In today’s new update, players will see the return of the sneaky thief, now named "Robin Banks." This classic feature from previous Sims games had been missing in The Sims 4, leaving fans wondering where the mischievous burglars had gone. Now, they’re back to cause chaos in your Sim’s home.

Robin Banks strikes at night, sneaking into your Sim’s house while they're asleep – or even if they're awake! EA explains that she’ll be causing havoc in the night hours, making things tense for your household. The update also brings a nostalgic reminder of the suspenseful violin wail heard before a robbery – just like in the older Sims games.

How Can You Protect Your Sim's Home from Burglar?

The burglar update includes burglar alarms and the return of police NPCs to respond to break-ins. You can now install alarms in your Sims' homes, which will notify the authorities when an attempted robbery is in progress. Additionally, there are interactions with current DLCs, including dogs who can chase burglars away, werewolves scaring them off, and spellcasters using magic to send them packing.

How Does It Tie Into Other Expansions?

This update also introduces a new lot challenge called "Heist Havoc," which increases the likelihood of burglaries happening on a particular property. In total, over 50 unique reactions are added across the base game and 17 different packs. Players will also have 37 player-directed interactions to get creative with the burglaries.
