Anime Adaptation of "Rooster Fighter" Announced at San Diego Comic-Con
An anime adaptation of Shu Sakuratani's "Rooster Fighter" manga was announced at San Diego Comic-Con this past Friday. While the release date for the Rooster Fighter anime is still unknown, the announcement was accompanied by a trailer and a key visual.

One Brave Rooster Stands Against All Evil
"Rooster Fighter" is a web manga series created by Shu Sakuratani, published on Hero's Inc.'s Comiplex manga website since December 2020. The series is set in a world where mutant demons began appearing about three years prior to the story's events. It follows a mutant rooster named Kenji, who possesses superhuman strength and is driven by a desire for revenge after a mutant called "The White Demon" killed his sister. Kenji wanders across Japan, defeating any mutants he encounters in the hope of one day finding the White Demon and avenging his sister's death. The seinen manga series has released seven volumes as of January this year and has gained a significant following in Latin American countries.
Production Details
The upcoming "Rooster Fighter" anime series will be produced by Sanzigen, known for its CGI animation work in "Black Rock Shooter 2012," and Sola Entertainment, which worked on "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045." VIZ Media will handle the worldwide streaming, merchandising, and TV broadcast of the "Rooster Fighter" anime outside of Japan, while Hero's Inc. will manage these aspects within Japan.
The series will be directed by Daisuke Suzuki, known for his work as a creative director on "Gurren Lagann," with series composition by Hiroshi Seko, a screenwriter for "Gachiakuta." Sola Entertainment CEO Joseph Chou will serve as the producer. Currently, no cast information has been revealed.
