According to information from CLS, Blizzard Entertainment is preparing to re-establish its partnership with NetEase and re-enter the Chinese market. In early 2023, Blizzard withdrew from the Chinese sector and terminated its collaboration with NetEase, shutting down all gaming servers in the region. It is speculated that this decision was initiated by Bobby Kotick. However, with his departure from the position of CEO of Activision Blizzard, the company intends to reintroduce its games in the Chinese market.
