Andy Robinson, who works in the field of games journalism, as well as a user with the nickname Dusk Golem, known for his insiders in the video game industry, spoke about the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2. Also, the network got screenshots from the project.

Konami will reportedly show a new project in the "world-favorite universe" at Tokyo Games Show 2022. It is expected that this will be either a new part of Silent Hill or Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Judging by the fresh screenshots, we are expecting a remake of the cult second part of Silent Hill. The footage shows that the main character is very similar to James Sunderland, the hero of Silent Hill 2. The game will lose the fixed camera, and will use a third-person view instead.

Back in May of this year, it was reported that the Polish studio Bloober Team is engaged in this project. Then the director of the company could not confirm or deny such rumors.

The Bloober Team are known for the first-person horror series Layers of Fear, as well as games such as Blair Witch and Observer. The studio's latest game to date is The Medium, a third-person horror game using a fixed camera. The game has often been cited in the press as the ideological heir to old-school horror, with Silent Hill being one example.

Tokyo Games Show 2022 will be held from September 15 to 18 this year. As part of the first exhibition in the last 2 years, the world's largest and Japanese publishers will talk about future plans for games and other content.
