Electronic Arts keeps revealing new details about EA Sports FC 27, and this time the studio has unveiled how much career mode is set to change—and the developers have clearly put in serious work here, something anyone who loves stepping into a manager's shoes should appreciate.

According to a 6-minute Official Career Deep Dive video, the main feature of EA Sports FC 27's career mode is a complete overhaul of the transfer system. Electronic Arts has partnered with TransferRoom, a digital platform many football clubs already use to connect clubs, agents, and players directly. Instead of full cutscenes, negotiations between manager, player, and agent will now play out through a new 2D interface. Contracts themselves have become a lot more detailed too, covering things like payment installments, bonuses, buy-out clauses, and more.

The second major update ties more directly into gameplay: thanks to Dynamic OVR, player stats will now shift based on current form and match fitness. Players will also be able to build their own career scenarios using Creator Challenges and share them with others. Other additions to career mode include an updated training system, more unpredictable in-match events, reworked press conference scenes, and more. This week, Electronic Arts also shared the first gameplay details for EA Sports FC 27, including improved player behavior on both attack and defense, a completely reworked corner-kick system, and more. Additionally, on August 2, players can look forward to news about Ultimate Team, and on August 4, The Grounds, a new mode set entirely in an open world, which is perhaps the main attraction of the latest franchise installment.

EA Sports FC 27 will release on September 25 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, and Switch 2.
