LG wants to ensure that users can take part in multiplayer games and attend Elynxir and Pixelynx concerts without the use of additional equipment, having only their TV at home. Thus, the Korean company wants to solve two issues at once: attracting more audience to its products and showing people what metaverses are.

For Oorbit, this agreement will also bring a lot of benefits, since, presumably, their virtual world will become the standard for LG users and it is there that they can learn all the basics. Consequently, the Oorbit metaverse will become more popular once it is integrated into new TVs from LG.

Appliance manufacturers implement this feature using the Sansar application through the LG webOS TV cloud service. Earlier, LG announced that it had launched a search for specialists from the field of Web3-technologies. The vacancies indicated the tasks that Web3 experts would have to deal with.

LG expects applicants to plan and develop dApp services, as well as analyze trends in the Web3 field, research projects in the field of blockchain, and create acts of cooperation with various blockchain companies. DApps are decentralized applications that have reached the cumulative 600,000+ people who use dApps daily.

LG Electronics has a lot to explore the sector of the metaverse and bring people closer to this area and have been implementing their ideas for more than 6 years. Experts from the research company IDC analyzed their activities and determined that LG has been heading towards the development of the metaverse since 2016. Moreover, they have become the leader in the number of patent applications over the past 6 years.

In second place on the list of electronics manufacturers who want to develop the metaverse sector is Samsung Electronics. The top 3 were closed by Meta, which was known as Facebook until October 2021. Mark Zuckerberg may be considered the most passionate and fanatical supporter of the metaverse, but in terms of the number of patent applications, he does not reach the level of the Korean electronics giants.

The Chinese company Huawei was in the fourth position in terms of registration of patents related to the metaverses, and the top 5 is closed by Bill Gates' company Microsoft. The latter wanted to make a deal for $69,000,000,000 and buy the game studio Activision Blizzard. According to Microsoft, this could not only help them strengthen their position in the video game market, but also make a great contribution to the development of the metaverses.

2 months ago, Sony also made an interesting announcement that should bring innovation to the Metaverse sector. The Japanese company has introduced trackers that will help smartphone owners immerse themselves in the world of metaverses. Mocopi consists of 6 trackers that are worn on the head, wrists, hips and ankles to transfer users' movements to their avatars in the Sony Metaverse virtual world. Whether it will be possible to use them outside of Sony's metaverse is still unknown.
