Lighthouse lanserte en navigasjonsmotor for metaversen

TheBlock publication reports on the development of a navigation engine from Lighthouse. The latter want to make virtual worlds less lonely in this way and give users an easier way to find each other in virtual worlds.

The platform, they say, will be able to index information about events in many virtual worlds. More than 20 metaverses will be supported, including such giants as Decentraland, The Sandbox and Voxels along with Mona and others. The engine was released after a successful beta test. More than 40,000 volunteers were involved in the objective evaluation of the data obtained during the testing.

The project was able to come to fruition through collaboration with companies such as Accel, BlockTower, Animoca Brands and White Star Capital. In May 2022, an investment round was held, within which more than $7,000,000 was raised.

The funds were used to use indexation tools and enter into partnership agreements with various companies. All this will allow Lighthouse to realize their idea and make the process of collecting data on their navigation engine efficient.

Lighthouse co-founder and part-time CEO Jonathan Brun noted that most of the criticism was rightly directed towards the void of the metaverses. According to him, users do not want to accept Web3 technology and virtual worlds because of the feeling of being alone in a space that was created for social interactions.

This was the motivation for Lighthouse to make such a project that would help the metaverse sector reach a new level and significantly improve the user experience. Brun said the company often talks to metaverse developers and sees a lot of potential in their work that needs to be improved.

Jonathan believes that removing the feeling of loneliness from the metaverses, then in this case, users will be able to truly appreciate the exciting things that are in virtual worlds. According to the CEO of Lighthouse, the main problem of the metaverses is finding each other's users, while there is enough good content in virtual worlds.

Lighthouse wants to make not only a navigation engine that allows users to quickly find each other, but also a social platform where they can share recommendations and quickly join their friends. Apparently, the company wants to make an analogue of what we could see in the Steam marketplace and other similar sites.
